Blackjack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a wild ride. It is a game that kicks off slowly, but gradually gains speed. As you build up your bankroll, you feel like you are getting up to the top of the coaster and then when you aren’t expecting it, the bottom collapses.

As is the case with the popular amusement experience, your blackjack game will peak and things will appear to be going great for a time before it bottoms out again. Of course you have to be a gambler that is able to adjust well to the ups and downs of the game simply because the game of blackjack is choked full with them.

If you like the tiny coaster, one that cannot go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way you can enjoy the ride is with a fatter wager, then jump aboard for the mad ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high roller will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he/she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush quickly to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it’s going up, that’s terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to toss and turn, you had better escape in a hurry.

If you do not, you may not easily recount how much you enjoyed the view while your bank roll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a thrilling ride … your head in the air. As you are thinking on "what ifs", you won’t clearly remember how "high up" you went but you will remember that disappointing fall as clear as day.
