Card counting is but a chance theory NOT a predictive abstraction.

1. Why counting cards works

People who use correct chemin de fer plan with a card counting system can best the gambling halls edge.

The reasoning behind this is easy. Small value cards favour the croupier in chemin de fer, and big value cards favour the player.

Low cards aid the croupier because they assist her achieve winning totals on his hands when the house is stiff, (has a 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 total on his initial two cards).

Blackjack Is Like A Wild Ride

by Gaven on Sunday, March 15th, 2026

black jack is a game that reminds me somewhat of a wild ride. It’s a game that starts out slowly, but gradually picks up the pace. As you grow your bank roll, you feel like you are on your way to the top of the coaster and then when you least expect it, the bottom falls out.

black jack is so remarkably like a rollercoaster the similarities are creepy. As is the case with the popular fair ground ride, your blackjack game will peak and things will seem as though they are going great for a while before it bottoms out yet again. Undoubtedly you have to be a gambler who’s able to readjust to the ups … downs of the game given that the game of blackjack is packed full of them.

If you like the petite coaster, a coaster that can’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the ride is with a larger wager, then hop aboard for the mad ride of your life on the monster coaster. The big money player will love the view from the monster crazy ride because he/she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush head first to the top of the game.

A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is all lovely, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.

If you do not, you might not naturally recount how much you enjoyed life while your cash was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a great ride and your head in the clouds. As you are reminiscing on "what ifs", you won’t always remember how "high up" you went but you will clearly remember that devastating drop as clear as day.

My Casino Black jack Variety Game

by Gaven on Thursday, March 5th, 2026

I have enjoyed millions of rounds of twenty-one. I started working my way into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have bet on online twenty-one, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of funds at chemin de fer. The gambling halls have made it basically impossible to beat the casino.

I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have bet on a variation of twenty-one called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get rich with this method or beat the casino, nonetheless you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is based on the fact that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I play basic strategy blackjack. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I don’t win again I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand again etc. Whenever I hit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I return the action back down to the original sum.

I am very disciplined and do not back out. It gets extremely exciting sometimes. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a few years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this method! And a couple of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!

You need to understand that you can squander a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the streaks you see wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a $5 table.

Wager $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar wager

Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10

Wager ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first $10 bet

Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Wager $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the original twenty dollar bet

Bet 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager $40
Take 40 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $40 wager

Wager 40 dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid to you for a total bet of $80

Wager eighty dollar
Take $80 paid to you, leave the original $80 bet

Wager 80 dollar
Leave 80 dollar paid to you for a total wager of 160 dollar

Bet one hundred and sixty dollar
Take one hundred and sixty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 160 dollar wager

If you left at this point you would be up 315 dollar !!

It is hard to go on a streak this long, but it will happen. And when it does you can’t deviate and drop your wager or the end result will not be the same.
